The British Geological Survey's Edinburgh office has just acheived Cycling Scotland’s Cycle Friendly Employer Award. Fiona Jackson of BGS has been working with the Bike Station's A better way to work team to promote and encourage cycling in the workplace, her efforts have now been rewarded.
BGS have recently set up their own ScotBUG Bicycle User Group and their showers, parking, information boards and general support for cyclists is of the highest level. BGS have had a series of Dr Bike events over the past year which have proven extremely popular, even with the infrequent cyclists. BGS' committment to cycling is clear and it's paying off. Cycling is increasing in popularity at BGS as their impressive cycle parking shows by being full regularly.
